One Day Workshop

As workshop groups are small, you are assured of receiving personalised attention and guidance. It is important that anyone attending these workshops has basic camera skills.
We will enhance your photo taking abilities and concentrate on issues such as;

  1. Understanding and controlling light
  2. The correct utilisation of shutter speed & aperture
  3. Controlling Depth of Field
  4. How to accurately and effectively capture movement
  5. Get sharp images

Workshops will be regularly held on different Saturdays to suit weather/ climatic conditions with the following workshops planned;

  • Studio workshop with model in attendance- R 1,150.00
    • Dates; 11th June 2011
    • Guidance and review of images taken
    • Starting time 8am, includes lunch, close 4.30pm
  • Wildlife and general small game - R 1,150.00
    • Dates 25th June 2011, 9th July 2011, 6th August 2011, 24th September 2011
    • Starting time; 7am
    • Photography from game drive vehicle
    • Take shots of the running Cheetah
    • Includes lunch
    • Review and critique of images taken
  • Night photography - R 800.00
    • Can be added on to the Wildlife workshop
    • Dates; 25th June 2011, 9 July 2011, 6th August 2011, 24th September 2011
    • Staring time 6pm
    • Star trails, painting with light
    • The night sky
    • Includes a braai
    • Review and critique of images taken
  • Flowers, insects and Sunbirds - R 850.00
    • Dates; 16th June 2011, 26th June 2011
    • Starting times; 7am
    • Includes a light lunch
    • Review and critique of images taken

Details of the Workshops;

  • We start the day with coffee
  • Discussion on camera settings for the day
  • Photographic subjects will be identified, images captured and results discussed.
  • Improve your skills with interactive sessions offered
  • Ongoing discussion during the day providing assistance & guidance.

What you must bring;

  1. Your Digital SLR camera
  2. Any lenses that you may have
  3. A tripod
  4. A cable release (if you have one) – good to have but not essential
  5. Enough memory cards
